Trajan, As made of brass alloy rather than copper, Roman Imperial, 98-117 A.D., Sear - 3243, R.I.C.644, approx. 24 mm diameter. The obverse shows legend IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GERM, with radiate bust to the right, slight drapery on left shoulder. The reverse shows the legend DAC PARTICO PM TR POT XX COS VI PP SC, around a laurel wreath, enclosing large S C.
Both sides are dark toned brass color, with lighter shades of toned brass on the higher features.
