    Description

    Here is a nice billon antoninianus of Gallienus invoking the Unconquered Sun God. The Obverse has his Radiate, Draped and Cuirassed bust and the legend GALLIENVS AVG, the Reverse shows Sol standing left with his right hand raised and holding a whip in his left hand, legend SOLI INVICTO. This coin is  22.7mm, 3.4gm, RSC987, minted in Antioch. Ex Agora Auctions with their tag.
