Description

DN PLA VAL[ENTINIANVS P F AVG], laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / [VICTOR - IA AVGG], Victory walking left, carrying trophy and and branch, mintmark in exergue. 11mm, 0.74 grams.
Valentinian III (2 July 419 16 March 455), was Western Roman Emperor from 425 to 455. His reign was marked by the ongoing dismemberment of the Western Empire. His copper coins are very scarce.
